GIIS 2015 Overview

With an estimated £36 trillion needed in infrastructure development by 2020, global investors are viewing the infrastructure asset class as an important element of their investment strategy.

Now in its third year, the Global Infrastructure Investors Summit (GIIS) is the product of continuous collaboration with over 350 leading LPs currently considering their allocation strategies within Infrastructure investing, and also from the partnerships we have formed with the leading GPs, Government agencies and service providers in the space.

Chaired by our knowledge partner – Preqin, the event is designed to bring together leading infrastructure investors at the London Stock Exchange and discuss how to develop investment solutions to create value, infrastructure debt opportunities and the role of project bonds, developed vs emerging markets, as well as global infrastructure trends and industry updates.

Infrastructure assets are an important part of the Institutional Investors’ portfolios. With leading LPs are cautiously reassessing the allocation methods, the fundraising environment has never been so challenging. The complexity of the asset class, coupled with factors such as location, market pressures, political, cultural and social influences, as well as the specific economic environment determine how and where we invest.

GIIS is organised under the Chatham House Rule* and participation is strictly limited to investors actively assessing their investment plans for infrastructure assets, along with those GPs whose track record, fund style and focus meet the established criteria of our LP clients.

Following the tradition, alongside GIIS 2015  we will facilitate  The Infrastructure Investors Networking Centre at the London Stock Exchange. The day will include Networking Breakfast, Coffee Breaks, Lunch and a Champagne Reception, as well as for the first time Project Portfolio Presentations.

 * When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.
