Dan is a Partner at Foresight Group and has seventeen years of experience of finance and investment into renewable energy infrastructure, including 10 years of principal investing. He was worked in the sector in Europe, North America and Asia. He has written extensively on renewable energy investing in publications including the Financial Times.
Dan has responsibility for Foresight’s UK and US investment activities into renewable energy generation and renewable-enabling infrastructure, such as energy storage and other flexible energy resources. Globally Foresight owns and manages close to 1 GW of renewable energy infrastructure, with AUM dedicated to the sector in excess of £1.5bn. Between 2012 and 2015 Dan’s principal role was the establishment of Foresight’s North America business, headquartered in San Francisco. Prior to Foresight Dan help establish Sindicatum, a dedicated clean energy investing firm, in London from 2007. After raising c.$300 million primarily from US institutional investors Dan relocated to Singapore in 2009 where he focussed on the deployment of the fund in South East Asia, China and India. Between 2000 and 2007 Dan worked for EY advising businesses and government agencies on a range of environmental finance and investment issues. He Dan is a chartered accountant; he holds an MSc in Sustainable Leadership from the Centre for Sustainable and Environmental Management (Distinction) and a BA in Modern History from the University of Bristol.
